The REAL team is on the ground in the Philippine Islands! Headed by my "Brother" Pastor Charlie Ortal, in Ilocos Norte, and my "Sister" Pastor Ruth Domingo, in Cagayan, these hard-working pastors serve the poor of their own congregations and others challenged through natural disasters or extreme poverty.
Beginning in 2007, when Pastor Charlie left our small town on Kauai for the Philippines, my husband and I committed to help provide for their needs, and assist with the needs around them. Blossoming with a trip of my own to the Philippines in 2012, HopeGift was founded with the purpose of raising funds and awareness for the opportunities there.
Our mission is simple: to help raise monies to fund feeding and gift programs for the indigent children and elders of the Philippines.
Utilizing local pastors and local goods, we support a sustainable model of loving others as ourselves, with the love of Jesus Christ.

Your support and purchases enable us to send much needed funds to the Philippines. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT
We all understand charity, and what the "poor" gain from our giving... What if we look at it differently, (Biblically), as mutual support?
GIVERS GET BLESSINGS FROM GOD!
Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. Deuteronomy 15:10 (NIV)
GIVERS GET PRAYER!
In the same letter that Paul encourages "cheerful giving" he also says: "This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!" 2 Corinthians 9:12-14 (NIV)
GIVERS GET JOY!
Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the Lord. 1 Chronicles 29:9a (ESV)
GIVERS LACK NOTHING!
Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses. Proverbs 28:27 (NIV) We all understand charity, and what the "poor" gain from our giving... What if we look at it differently, (Biblically), as mutual support?
